The Bryants Have a Mission Aviation Assignment!

20 Jan

The Bryant Family

After four years of aviation training and preparing for the mission field we have received our assignment.  We will be going to The Democratic Republic of Congo.  We are headed to Bunia.  So many emotions accompany our assignment.  We are humbled that the Lord would choose us to minister to the people in East DRC.  It reminds us of the Bible verse in 1 Timothy 1:12, “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.”

The Democratic  Republic of Congo was formerly called Zaire.  It is 2,345,410 sq km and the population is now around 68 million people.  Although French is the official language spoken, there are as many as 214 languages in the country.

As you pray for the people of DRC remember it’s tragic history filled with abusive leaders, many past wars, disease and spiritual bondage that is found over much of the land.

The task is daunting, but Christian workers are encouraged as many come to know the Lord and churches are being planted.
