Christmas in the Tropics

15 Feb

After our Advent celebration, our family wanted to do something completely different for Christmas to chase away some of the homesickness we knew would be there.  We took a trip to the beach!  We spent an amazing Christmas day boat riding, snorkeling, visiting Turtle Island and enjoying the beach.  While riding on the boat under the bright blue sky, Caleb shouted, “This is the best Christmas ever!”  It accomplished our goal of making Christmas different and special, but we still missed being with family! This may turn into a new family tradition!

Hello, Bryant Family! Thank you, Joy, for your delightful postings that keep your family dear to my heart and in my prayers. The Christmas Jesse tree was such a clever idea, and I loved the smiles on everyone’s faces while snorkeling on Christmas Day! I was in Grand Cayman early in February, celebrating my birthday by swimming with dophins. It was quite a shock to return home to an eight-inch snowfall two days later. This is the most snow we’ve had since ’98. Love, Jeanette
