Meet the Bryants

Luke has always been intrigued by the sky.  When he was 18 years old he started skydiving.  Before long, he had a lot of “flight time” and no landings in an airplane.  When he met and married Joy he had almost 350 jumps.  Learning to fly airplanes was always something he longed to do, but never could justify the expense, especially after having a family.  When the Lord called him into full time missions as an aviator, he threw himself into the training.  In just a few years he received his private, instrument, comercial and flight instructor ratings as well as his mechanics A&P licenses.  His perfectionistic personality enables him to do everything the Lord calls him to do with excellence.

Joy has spent the last year working in her Dad’s Old Fashioned Soda Shop.  Hayes Station in Mineral Wells, TX was opened after her parents retired from the mission field after 25 years of service.  She has enjoyed spending the time with her parents, and her milk shakes are addicting!  While working at the shop with her parents, Joy has been homeschooling the kids and teaching ballet at the local homeschool co-op.   She is looking forward to working with and teaching Missionary Kids (MKs) overseas.

Caleb is 7 years old and in the 2nd grade.  He started taking TaeKwonDo this year and loves it.  He recently earned his orange belt.   He enjoyes spending the time with his classmates and sparring.  Caleb also loves legos.  When he found a new line of lego ninjas, called Ninjago, he thought he’d found the best thing ever.  Now he can build ninja dojos and fight them. Caleb loves food and is looking forward to being able to eat new things in another country.  He’ll try almost anything once!

Reagan is our 4 year old princess.  She love to play with her dolls, sing and dance.  She would not be left out of homeschooling this year, so we have been doing K4 with her.  She knows all her numbers and letters and is starting to read 3 letter words.  She is looking forward to learning a new language the most.  She is even known to make up her own from time to time.  She is fascinated by the beautiful singing of the African people and looks forward to singing with them when we arrive in the DRC.
